It appears to be a family operation, run in part by his wife Jodi and daughter Cara, a sommelier, the web site says.Despite the designer’s disdain for the handsome passer’s wine, Ferragamo’s $59 Cabernet and Sangiovese blend won a gold metal at the Los Angeles Wine Competition in 2013. The QB, who lost Super Bowl XIV to the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers in 1980, has said his winery is not a major operation.“It’s basically for private consumption and friends. I just do it for the fun of it,” Ferragamo told the Orange-County Register in 2012.Meanwhile, the designer Ferragamo family have a winery called Il Borro in the hills of Tuscany.
